You didn't mention whether you'd calibrated your controller under the [Controls] [Analog Control] dialog boxes. You need to do that.

You may want to calibrate the controller in Windows first.

Your controller acts like a joystick. It needs to be calibrated first in Windows Game Controllers then after that in FMS....from the top menu select Controls/Analog Controls/Joystick Interface then the Mapping/Calibration button.

BTW if you have any other joysticks connected you should also make sure the FMS one is first in the list of Games Controllers otherwise FMS won't see it.

I do have the same problem

Postby joeran » Sat Dec 29, 2007 11:20 pm

Hi,
I am in exactly the same position as bryangeorge999.
Don`t get the FMS started with the E_sky 4CH transmitter (Lama 4).

I have choosen the joystock interface.
In the Mapping / Calibration menue I have set up the following:
Rudder: CH 4
Elevator: CH 2
Aileron: CH 1
Throttle: CH 3
Tail: CH 9
Nick: CH 9
Roll: CH 9
Pitch: CH 9

If I move the sticks on my transmitter the roll bars 1to 4 in this menue react as expected
But nothing happens with the helicopter on the screen.

What else do I have to configure?

Best Regards,
Joeran

E sky simulator

Postby Grandad Foz » Tue Jan 01, 2008 1:18 pm

It would appear that I am not on my own in trying to set-up the simulator. I have calibrated the controls to 4 Rudder 2 Elevator 1 Aileron 3 Throttle. I have the 0905A 4 channel Transmitter. In the instructions, unless I have missed summat, it does not tell you which channel refers to which stick.
Can you throw any light on this subject please. :?:

When you calibrate you can see for yourself which stick movement corresponds to which channel. Just look which number blue bar is moving.

Sorted that one out now, thanks. Next problem, how do you reverse the throw on the throttle stick. i.e. Full throttle, stick forwards, as I did when flying model aircaft years ago. Also the rudder works in the opposite direction, i.e. left stick moved to the left, plane goes right.
When I get this sorted, I could be asking questions re helicopters... :?

Tick the INV (Invert) boxes against the approproate channels. That's what they're for.
