Helicopter Pitch Unrealistic

Helicopter Pitch Unrealistic

Postby vega2614 » Mon Oct 22, 2007 5:24 am

Let me start by saying that, as a free program, FMS is awesome and I think it will definitely help me to get better at flying planes and choppers.

Although I've never piloted a CCPM chopper before, a simple knowledge of physics leads me to believe that the throttle/pitch is very unrealistic in FMS. Somehow, the chopper descends at the same speed, which is unrealistically slowly, both upright and inverted without touching the throttle/pitch stick. I could understand if neutral stick could mean only a slow drop in altitude, but the chopper should drop like a brick once inverted with the same pitch input (neutral throttle/pitch stick), instead of slowly dropping at the same speed as upright. Anybody experience this, and/or know of a way to fix this? I tried the RF G3 demo and the chopper in that is way more realistic, dropping really fast at neutral stick. Thanks.
