Hi Tim,
Me too!
Been stuggling with this for days.
We have FMS V2.0 Alpha 8.5 running OK on Acer 5684-wlmi laptop under XP MCE SP2 with most models and some interfaces - and have only _just_ succeeded in grabbing the file from that UH-60 URL in the manual:
Right-clicking on the link and choosing 'Save As' should work, but......
It has taken a couple of days to get it downloaded successfully, and I still don't know what I did right. You unzip the contents and put them in the .../FMS/Model folder.
Hope that works for you.
fwiw, I find the Hughes model sim included with FMS is also pretty good, and responds in a 'fairly similar' fashion to my Twister model. Hardly had a minute on the UH-60 yet, but it seems good.
Oh yes, and using the Transmtter USB lead to control the sim eats up the batteries - looks like the tx is still transmitting when the lead is on. <sigh>
I mostly use a USB-powered dual gaming stick - the Logitech 'Dual action' thing, fits into the laptop bag without too much of a struggle.
All the best, Ben
