Another good way to maintain orientation (I never zoom in during most flying sessions) is to practice landing patterns in the Switzerland scenery. and always fly in such a way as to keep the tops of the mountain ridges in view above or below your aircraft when viewed from the runway. Because it is a north -south valley, you will always know where you are, and will soon learn landmarks for where turn turn in on the downwind, base, and final legs of the approach. That scenery also has a white line extending from the center of the runway as an extra guide.
