Took it to a RC helicopter pilot in the area and had him test fly it. So far so good.
The next 4 weeks it rained every weekend (Seattle).
SOOOO... I spent a lot of time on the simulator.
Today there was a clearing in the rain. I took a deap breath and carried my helicopter outside.
I started right up (after I turned the fuel line on).
Carried it to the back yard and tried to skid it along the ground. The grass was too wet and long....
Took a deap breath and raised it up about 1 foot off the ground. Two clicks of left alerion and one click of back elivator and it was hovering!
I managed to keep it withing 30 feet of me and mostly in one spot about 1-3 feet off the ground. Still not great but I've seem a LOT worse.
One tank completed and time to take a break.
The training on the simulator realy works ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
