Hi

My name is Pat and I'm a newbie 100%. I don't understand a thing about RC flying except that I got a new HoneyBee helicopter and flight simulator package as a gift.
Where to begin, where to begin???
Read the instructions, written by a crossed eyed parrot, and managed to crash the thing the first time I started it. Repaired now, but I want to use the computer for a lot of practice before I get going back to the real deal.
Read thru alot of posts but never saw a place to define terms (like "idel" or "nor"), what is the correct setting for the controls, etc.
Any suggestions (RCing for the Cmplete Idiot) would be appreciated.

hay im also new to this looks fun but bloody hard i have the dragon fly trainer cheap but good to learn with it i cant even get the PC trainer to work

It depends on your transmitter mode. There are two popular modes:

MODE 1
Left stick up - more throttle/collective
Left stick down - less throttle/collective
Left stick left - nose turns left in forward flight
Left stick right - nose turns right in forward flight
Right stick up - nose down
Right stick down - nose up
Right stick left - banks left in forward flight
Right stick right - banks right in forward flight

MODE 2
Left stick up - nose down
Left stick down - nose up
Left stick left - nose turns left in forward flight
Left stick right - nose turns right in forward flight
Right stick up - more throttle/collective
Right stick down - less throttle/collective
Right stick left - banks left in forward flight
Right stick right - banks right in forward flight

In FMS, select "Inv" to reverse a direction
in FMS, select "Exp" to turn exponential movement on
