FMS/NVIDEA/monitor?????

I have XP, with a GeForce 5700LE 128 card, the latest driver and a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 91TXM monitor. I downloaded 2.0Alpha 8.5. It all works fine for a few minutes and then locks up, goes to black screen with message
"signal frequency is out of range please change signal timing"
Everything other program on this computer works fine.
Is there anything I can do to make FMS work on this system?

Does the problem occur only in fullscreen mode? If this is the case, the problem may be a wrong upadte frequency for your monitor. Try to change the update frequency in the Display Settings Dialog (Windows) for the fullscreen resolution you are using inside FMS.
If the problem occurs as well running the FMS in windowed mode, then there may be something wrong with your graphics card driver (setup).

It will do this in windows mode as well as full screen. My video driver is the latest one (71.89) from nvidea. We run a lot of different programs on this computer and FMS is the only one that locks up and gives this erroe message.
