need help w/my PIC Interface from Ken - I can't calibrate my Tx ... ?

Yesterday I got the PIC Interface kit from Ken. I assembled it and then certainly wanted to play. Unfortunately I couldn't calibrate the Tx. The bars didn't move in any direction and therefore the plane didn't respond to my Tx either.

What am I missing here? :confused: It seems that FMS don't get a signal, correct? How do I have to set up my Tx? The Tx is used as a student Tx and therefore doesn't need any programming or am I mistaken?

I run WinXP and COM1 is set up as described (9600 Baud, Data bits/sec: 8, Parity: None, Stop bits: 1, Flow control: none). I use a Futaba FC28 which is set on PPM mode. I tried it with the RF (module) turned on and off and obviously both didn't work.

Okay after experimenting a little bit, I'm able to calibrate my Tx. I can fly for about a minute and then suddenly the signal is gone again. Any ideas? It seems that my Tx works correct now but, I believe, something is wrong with either the PCB or the computer settings. My computer settings are still as I said before.

Anybody has an idea what’s wrong? Ken, any idea what I might did wrong on the PCB?
