No driver needed for Parallel Port - Adding a new interface

Hi all, I am new in this forum, but I have a idea (good?) for a new interface for FMS without any hardware with Win2K / XP.

I know that it is impossible to use a simple Parallel Port Interface or Serial Interface with FMS and windows 2k or XP because of the need of writing a driver.
But there is a way to read on IO port of a PC without any drivers in Win2k/WinXP, by using special library.
One is WinIO from web site.
I tried to use it into a software reading on parallel Port, and I get a resolution better than 10µs.
You can use IRQ if you use the good pin...

It may be a solution to build a software interface into FMS without any hardware. Only connect PPM_out of TX to parallel Port.
We can imagine option for positif or negativ PPM.

The only problem is to know if it is possible to use WinIo library freelly (I hope yes, we have juste to ask to the owner)

What to you think about that?
Is this idea seems to be good?
Someone already had this idea?
